Performing Kim Ashton’s ‘Hours’ at the opening of ‘Out of Time’, Eli Skatvedt’s exhibition at Sondov Rauland Kunstforening, Norway.
I am a British artist based in Luxembourg.
Underpinning my practice is an interest in the mental processes by which we construct an understanding of reality.
My work explores this through three broad themes: human (often industrial) interventions in the landscape, which question what we consider ‘natural’; the traumatic event as a site in which the constructed self is threatened with collapse and thus reveals its fragility; and drawing as the practice of impartial attention to reality.
